Scraphunter’s Star

Scraphunter's Star @In 2008, Evelyn George designed the pattern Scraphunter’s Star for a Mystery Quilt Retreat as a fundraiser for Quilt for a Cause, Inc. Of course, it is no longer a mystery.

This easy, scrappy quilt is fat quarter friendly, with traditional directions, illustrations and photos of the finished quilt.

This Hunter’s Star can be easily created with no templates or “Y” seams. You just layer and cut stacks of 4 fat quarters at a time into squares and rectangles with a rotary cutter. Then, follow the fully illustrated directions for quick piecing methods, to stitch them into star points! The resulting blocks are so versatile; it’s fun to arrange them into stars, medallions, and dozens of other layouts.

To purchase Scraphunter’s Star contact: info@quiltforacause.org. Price: $10 plus postage.

Pattern also sold at Zoe’s Trunk Quilt Shop.

All proceeds from the pattern sales go to Quilt for a Cause, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization which uses the art and business of quilting to pursue advances in breast and/or gynecological cancers by raising funds for research, by continuing the education of medical professionals, and by supporting clinical organizations that raise awareness, offer detection and provide treatment for all women.
